Stellar Engineering conducted a structural study on a drilling rig to assess the feasibility of a new slant rig for plug and abandonment operations in the UK. Using precise scan data, we developed a detailed 3D model of the existing rig to evaluate potential clashes with steelwork and surrounding infrastructure. Our analysis confirmed that the new slant rig could be safely deployed without interference, ensuring a smooth and efficient decommissioning process. This project highlights our expertise in advanced scanning, modelling, and structural assessment for complex offshore operations.
